    Great Lakes University of Kisumu is a chartered private regional Christian university based in Kisumu Kenya, and focuses on teaching, research and community partnerships as its core mandate.

    The university is inviting suitable applicants for the position of vice-chancellor.

    Applicants must among other qualifications have:

    · An earned doctorate degree
    · Experience in academic administration
    · Proven capacity for resource mobilisation
    · High-quality research output
    · Strategic partnerships and networks
    · In-depth knowledge of current global trends in higher education teaching and learning
    · Experience in the use of technology for managing service delivery and knowledge management
    · Evangelical Christian faith in testimony and practice.

    The theme for this year was “Innovative Community Research and Sustained Impact”.

    The aim of this year’s conference was to examine and share research leading to innovations pertaining to public health in various settings both locally and internationally.

The Main Campus

Great Lakes University of Kisumu is a fully chartered university with its main campus located beyond Mamboleo on the Kisumu - Miwani Road. It has four other campuses in; Kisumu City, Kokise, Nairobi, Kisii and Garissa.

The main aim of GLUK is to develop effective managers of development initiatives in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. GLUK also equips its students with additional skills aligned and designed for Kenya’s vision 2030.

GLUK is highly regarded in its unique methods of programme delivery and research both linked to problem solving and community service focusing on health, food and income security.
