Madeya Medical Clinic for Postnatal Mothers, Family Planning Talk
On April 7, 2026, Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) partnered with Africa Inuka Hospital Madeya for a Maternal and Child Health Celebration marking the launch of the Inuka Pediatric Clinic (p. 1). This community outreach initiative brought together mothers, newborns, healthcare stakeholders, and partners like APA Insurance to advance reproductive health awareness (pp. 1-2).
GLUK’s delegation supported the community through targeted healthcare education and outreach (pp. 1-2). A key highlight was an interactive health talk led by GLUK representative Paul Aluoch, focusing on family planning, child nutrition, birth spacing, and maternal wellbeing (pp. 1-2). To celebrate local families and encourage the use of maternal healthcare services, the university team also presented gifts to newborns and mothers (p. 2).
This successful collaboration strengthened ties between GLUK and Africa Inuka Hospital while boosting the university’s community visibility (p. 2). GLUK remains dedicated to driving future partnerships that support the health and wellbeing of mothers and children across the region (p. 3).
