Vc signs MoU Between GLUK and iTEC

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Atieno A. Ndede- Amadi signed an MoU with the Managing Director iTEC (Innovative Technology and Energy Centre) Mr. Herb Rhee & The CEO E3 Empower Africa Mrs. Ji-young Rhee. iTEC was established with the cooperation between ‘Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Seoul National University (SNU)’ and ‘Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST)’ with the Support of ‘Korean Ministry of Science and ICT’ and ‘National  Research Foundation of Korea’.

iTEC, the Energy industry-linked Science and Technology Centre aims to develop, educate and Commercialize innovative appropriate technology suitable for Africa using renewable energy and ICT in electric power, agriculture, health and Education for sustainable development.

E3 Empower Operates programs through international partnerships with Private, Government and Academic sectors.

The deal is part of the administration’s Industry Mentorship Programme under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scholarship Fund founded in 2017 by Chancellor Prof. Nick Wanjohi, that will see interested Students get an Opportunity to receive Scholarship funds towards Manufacturing and Production. Students & Staff members are highly advised to take advantage of this partnership & incubate their tech-innovate ideas.
