Dr. Roy Shaffer one of the instrumental professionals in the the development of community health program having worked together with Prof Dan Kaseje at the University of Nairobi and leading the implementation of Primary Health Care in Kenya in the 70’s paid us a visit after almost 40 years and the progress recorded was tremendous. He felt he was born again when he marveled at the fruits of his efforts blossoming and impacting on the communities around TICH and GLUK. He visited Saradidi,one of the implementation sites for PHC and was accorded a heroic welcome before checking in at the University on his way back to Arusha. We are so much indebted to Dr Roy for sharing his vision with limitless generations.
