1. Department of Education

Bachelor of Education (Arts)
Designed for students specializing in humanities and social sciences, this program prepares graduates to teach subjects such as English, Kiswahili, History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
Graduates can pursue careers as secondary school teachers, curriculum developers, and education administrators.
Bachelor of Education (Science)
Focuses on training science educators in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Graduates become qualified secondary school teachers, science coordinators, or educational researchers.
2. Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) is dedicated to cultivating compassionate, community-focused professionals equipped to address learning and mental health challenges across Kenya and beyond. Diploma in Psycho-Educational Assessment & Assessment and Intervention Strategies
This is a specialized program designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in identifying, assessing, and supporting individuals with cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges.
This two-year full time/three-year part time program provides in-depth training in standardized and non-standardized assessment tools, data interpretation, case formulation, and the development of evidence-based intervention plans. Students will explore diverse strategies used in educational, clinical, and community settings to promote well-being, inclusion, and optimal functioning.
